AIM & ALIGNMENT

Golf Aim and Alignment Lesson

Aim & alignment is hands-down the least requested and addressed issue in golf instruction.

Yet, where we aim is critical to a successful shot outcome, and to lower golf scores.

Everyone wants to improve their driver play, or pitching and chipping, putting or bunker shots, and even long iron and hybrids. But apart from a very few, no-one seems to be interested in learning how to aim!!!!!

From experience, conservatively, only 1 in 8 golfers hitting balls on the range are actually aligned correctly to their target. Without a nice rectangular mat, markers or alignment sticks to make it simpler, that ratio easily drops to 1 in 15 when those golfers are not on the range.

Very often, good swings that become inconsistent have incorrect alignment as their origin. Hooks and slices are commonly the result of the body aligned right or left of the target. Consequently, the perfectly struck ball with a slight draw that starts way right of the target, is often condemned as a push, rather than the result of a faulty set-up.

The lesson objective is to build a concise set-up routine that formalizes the process of aiming. And then, effectively positions the feet, hips and shoulders to have the correct alignment with the target. Lastly, to then encourage a swing that is free of anxiety and provides confidence when going for your golf targets.

Implementing the correct alignment technique is the BEST way to improve your swing dynamics, plane and follow-through.
